Ways to Help
Serving Meals at Local Shelters
Join us in the kitchen at a local shelter to heat up a delicious entree, make a nutritious salad, and plate meals for up to 100 neighbors experiencing food insecurity, alongside other volunteers. Evenings on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Everything you'll need will be waiting for you in the kitchen.
Making Meals at Home
Prepare a hot, nutritious meal in your own kitchen with a recipe that Spur provides. Evenings, weekdays and weekends. We'll provide the recipe and you do the rest.
Meal Delivery
Pick up hot meals from Shubie's in Marblehead at 4pm and deliver them to residents at the Lynn YMCA's income-qualified housing, a simple 45-minute commitment that makes a real difference. Once per month on a Friday. We'll provide the directions; you do the rest.
Making Desserts
Bake cookies or brownies to bring a moment of comfort and sweetness to neighbors after their meal at local shelters. Whether you bake 200–300 cookies or 100 brownies, you're offering something made with care. Meal services on Wednesdays and Sundays. You decide what to bake from a recipe you choose.
